Mission & History

BLU ARRO was founded in 2025 by Oliver and Sharon Fletcher, two African immigrants who turned decades of world‑class aerospace and finance experience into a single mission: redefine mobility while unlocking opportunity for millions. Oliver brings more than 20 years of advanced aerospace engineering across multiple programs, NASA’s Orion capsule, and U.S. Navy systems, with deep expertise in propulsion systems, composites, battery architectures, autonomy, and advanced manufacturing. Sharon matches that with over 20 years in institutional finance and global impact work – managing multi‑billion‑dollar credit commitments, holding Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses, and building mission‑driven companies and nonprofits that lift communities across Africa and Asia. Together, they lead BLU ARRO with a clear vision: to become the global operating platform for connected, sustainable mobility – across air, land, and sea – while building an inclusive workforce ecosystem that moves youth from STEM to high‑wage technical careers at scale. Their mission is to engineer breakthrough vehicles, drones, simulators, and energy systems that can serve communities – and to fuse every deployment with training, mentorship, and real jobs so that the brilliance they saw growing up in Africa no longer meets a wall, but a runway.
